Slow Burn
The glow, not the fire.
Bourbon vanilla warmed with cinnamon and cardamom, over candied almond, praline and a dry guaiac wood. Sweet, but the spice keeps it from going soft — it sits close rather than filling a room.
Why Slow Burn?
Embers: what is left when the flame has gone and the heat has not. A slow burn is the same thing measured in time instead of heat. And embers leave ash, which is, exactly, a trace.
Accord: Vanilla · Cinnamon · Almond
Season: Winter
When to wear it
Cold evenings, from the first one in November to the last one in February.
This is a winter fragrance and it is made like one. Orientals need thirty to forty-five days of maceration before they are worth wearing — and this one gets every day of it.
Inspired by Parfums de Marly Althaïr.
